Open Invitation to the Engineering Medical Innovation Competition (EMedIC) Global 2019 Event
The Engineering Medical Innovation Competition (EMedIC) Global is a global competition in which teams of university students design and develop clinically-driven and client-centered engineering innovations for the future of medicine and healthcare. The scope of EMedIC Global includes:
- Health screening and diagnostic devices
- Medical monitoring and life-maintenance devicesMedical monitoring and life-maintenance devices
- Rehabilitative and assistive devices
The EMedIC Global was first organized by the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2016; its second competition was organized in 2017 by the National Taiwan University in Taipei and last year in 2018, it was again organized in Hong Kong by the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
This year, the 4th EMedIC Global 2019 will be held in Singapore on Sunday 8th December 2019 in conjunction with the 17th International Conference on Biomedical Engineering, details of which can be found in www.icbme.org. The event is jointly organised by the Department of Biomedical Engineering, National University of Singapore and the Biomedical Engineering Society (Singapore).
We have received about 30 submissions for the competition and 12 finalists have been shortlisted for presentations on 8th December 2019 in the Lecture Theatre LT7A at the Faculty of Engineering, National University of Singapore, 9 Engineering Drive 1, Singapore 117575.
